NEW VENUE! NEW DATES!

Howdy hoofers!

If you haven’t already heard, the great news is that Avalaon and I have a new tap studio to teach out of from May 14th! (Avalon found it so credit goes to her)

It’s a proper studio with wooden floors, mirrors and a sound system. We are still only a few minutes’ walk from Old Street Station but in the other direction.

The venue is the American Musical Theatre Academy of London and is located at Europa House. 13-17 Ironmonger Row, EC1V 3QG.  Basically you walk up Old Street towards Farringdon and turn right at St Luke’s Paris Church and keep walking until you hit the building on the left. We are in the basement but whoever buzzes you in will direct you.

CLASSES START MAY 14th. Our term will run until the end of June (see term dates and times for details) and we will have the same classes until then. That is:

Monday 6.30pm – Absolute beginners, 7.30pm – Advanced

Tuesday 6.30pm – More than beginners, 7.30pm – Intermediate

Classes are still £10 each. We won’t be doing carnets this term but will bring them back in the new term.

Don’t forget the tap jam on May 25th – tickets are limited as it’s a small space so book yours now: www.woolfsonandtay.com

SHIM SHAM IN TIMEOUT LONDON!

Yay we’re famous! Ok, well, maybe just notorious.

Shim Sham Tap Jam is on the TimeOut hot list of things to do in London to beat the winter blues. It’s in this week’s edition (the one with the muppets on the cover).

Not that we weren’t awesome before but now we are endorsed by TimeOut London – that just makes us supercool.

For anyone wanting to check out classes – yes you can just drop in and you don’t have to book.

See you in class!

The Nicholas Brothers

Well it’s a lazy Sunday so what better way to spend it than watch some amazing tap? Below are the Nicholas Brothers, Harold and Fayard.  Harold (the younger of the two) is the slightly shorter, cheekier one while Fayard’s hands are more controlled and ‘placed’.

We’ll be learning that number in class next week.

heh.
